Our Cello Collection
Our collection consists partly of Susanne Beer's personal cellos and bows, which she made available to her students to give them the best possible chance in their musical endeavours.
Since the Foundation was established, the collection has grown thanks to generous donations and fundraising efforts. We have several fine cellos – including Susanne's Lockey Hill – plus a variety of quality old German, old French, and intermediate-level instruments, between 1/4 and 4/4 size.
As we continue to expand our collection, we welcome donations of cellos, bows and cases of all sizes and levels. Please be in touch if you have a cello, bow or case that you'd like to donate in order to support the next generation of young cellists.

How to Apply for a Cello Loan
Please email us about availability before applying for a cello. There is a £17 per month fee, which goes towards covering the cost of strings, insurance, cases, and bows.
Loans are for cellists who are UK citizens, have permanent UK resident status, or hold a student visa, up to the age of 26. We take into account the applicant's financial situation as well as their playing ability. While we support cellists at various stages of development, our fine cello loans are designated for those aspiring to become professional musicians. As a condition of accepting a cello, the recipient may be asked to participate in our annual fundraising concert.
