At 'The Cello Corner' we find it important that the parents are a strong community and the children a strong team.
It important that our young cellists don't just only attend their own concerts but also the concerts of their peers.
On Sunday October 1st at 11.00 Michael Griffin will be visiting Dulwich Suzuki Group to give a talk for parents and children. The talk will be held at Kingsdale Foundation School in Dulwich and is titled ‘Unlocking Musical Potential’. Michael was the keynote speaker at the BSI Teachers’ Conference last year and is best known for his book ‘Learning Strategies for Musical Success’.
Michael speaks in schools and conferences on a variety of topics including mindset, intrinsic motivation, musical skill dvelopment, memory formation, metacognition, multiple intelligence, and expert achievement. During 2016 he provided music department PD for numerous schools and music services. His 2016 UK tour included Eton College, The Rugby School, St Paul’s Cathedral School, County music services Harrow, Dorset, Milton Keynes and Central Bedfordshire, British Suzuki Association, and Zurich International School for a 4-day guest educator role. The diary for 2017 includes keynote addresses for TASME, AIS (NSW), Maryborough (QLD), as well as events in the UK and Middle East.
